King Edward VII
Preceptory of Improvement

(Held under the licence and authority
of the M. E. & S. Grand Master since 1902)

Many Knights hold our ceremonies to be among the most awe-inspiring of all ceremonies in Freemasonry. For many, it is the excellence of our ritual that not only helps with both recruitment and retention but is the core of our enjoyment.

The role of a preceptory of improvement is to help Knights to familiarise themselves with what is expected. The King Edward VII Preceptory of Improvement is the original and most senior of all Preceptories of Improvement, teaching in strict accordance with the Ritual Book and approving Knights as Certified Preceptors of Improvement, who are then authorised to run a preceptory of improvement.

The Templar Ritual tab has guidance notes for the Templar rituals, lectures and links to buy Ritual books. In these pages, you will also find the meeting dates, membership details and the Annual Reports of the PoI going back to 2016.

Come along to the meetings at Mark Masons' Hall - belt and sword and provided, no other regalia is required.

All you need is your enthusiasm.
